Can you believe it is already the last day of March? And what a historic month it was - it did not snow a flake all month!! The last time it didn't snow during March in the Twin Cities was 1876! And, March is the second snowiest month in our state! But, after the winter we had I am so glad that spring is officially here. So much so that I pulled out the calendar to see how we might be able to occupy ourselves while we wait for our big trip to bring Leo home. As I started marking all the activities we already have planned for the next few months, I was quite surprised how few “free” weekends we have.

And that’s just the weekends!! We also plan on cheering on the Twins & Tigers at the new Target Field on May 3rd. (I am sure that will be the first of a few Twins games we’ll see this baseball season thanks to the Twins moving out of the Dome.) Going to some “Books & Cooks” classes with Drew. Seeing how Drew does in his first soccer sessions. And, Damon and I are ready to enjoy at least two concerts over the next few months (BNL & U2!!). I am so happy that it is finally spring and we can get out and play, explore, and work in the yard. Plus, as a HUGE bonus, my Friends' School Plant Sale catalog arrived in my mailbox today and I cannot wait to figure out what's my "must have plants" of the year are going to be!
It’s going to be a special and exciting summer. And I am going to cherish every moment of it ~ Drew is way too quickly approaching four (where did the time go!) and we will soon be a family of four ~ and I want to make sure we still focus on the three of us while we prepare to bring Leo home to our fun, loving, and adventurous family.
